Enterprise
Birdnow Chevrolet didn’t begin in Cascade, Iowa. Instead, it
truly started when Mark Birdnow accepted his first position in the automotive
industry as a car salesman in 1972. By 1976, Mr. Birdnow decided that he wanted
to dedicate his life to his newfound passion, and he did so by purchasing his
first car dealership.
Mr. Birdnow’s first car dealership made him the youngest dealer
in the history of the AMC Corporation, and it was the first of many
recognitions to come for the Birdnow enterprise. Mr. Birdnow doesn’t just
receive recognition for his car dealerships, but for his character as well. He
is President of the Jesup Chapter Lions Club, a member of the Jesup Chamber of
Commerce and a member of the Jesup Economic Development Foundation.
As a result of the Birdnow Enterprise’s employment and support
of handicapped individuals, Mr. Birdnow was also named “Friend of the
Handicapped” by Goodwill Industries.
